A job recruiter for the company contacted me for a phone interview after they saw my resume' posted a job board. I had a great interview over the phone which lasted for about 30 minutes. I have a college degree, years of outside and inside sales experience as well as retail sales and real estate experience, so I felt very qualified for the position. The recruiter set up a face to face meeting with the local Sales manager. While waiting for my interview, I noticed how unprofessionally dressed the office employees were. The ladies there were wearing capri pants, flip flops and plenty of cleveage and big hair. The manager was the only one in a suit. During my interview, which lasted about an hour, the Manager asked me zero questions and spent the entire time talking about himself. He showed me his artwork, which he has on display in the office and talked about how he wants to be an artist. I kept trying to steer the conversation back to my experience and questions about the job, but this guy was so full of himself and his "art". Honestly, it was just amatur looking oil paintings that resembled paint by number that I used to do as a kid. I left there very frustrated by the fact that my interview was all about him. I ended up e:mailing the job recruiter and complaining about the interview. Earlier this year, our local newspaper did a story on the wonderful "art" done by the Clayton Homes Manager, so I guess he finally got his 15 minutes of fame!
