I applied online. I interviewed at Clerkie in June 2025
Interview
My interview experience with Clerkie for the Full-Stack Software Engineer role on the Fiber team was exceptionally positive and well-structured. The entire process felt seamless, transparent, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish.
The stages were:
1. Async Technical Screen: A link was sent to my email right after applying. I had to complete the task and pass to be moved forward.
2. Initial Screen: This was a friendly 30min conversation with a recruiter to understand my background and interest in the role.
3. Take-Home Assignment: Another link was sent to my email after passing the initial screening. This was completed in my free time within 1.5hrs.
4. Take-Home Assignment Review: This was a 45min conversation with a senior team member where we went over the take-home assignment, and my technical abilities were screened a bit more on-the-spot. Any time left was used to talk about the role and company.
5. Technical Interview: This was a 1.5hr collaborative technical interview where I had the pleasure of working through a problem with another senior team member. It was a great opportunity to talk through approaches and demonstrate problem-solving skills in a supportive environment.
6. Final Interview: This was a 30min conversation with the company's CTO to let them learn more in-depth about my background, also giving me a chance to ask some burning questions about the company's origin, future, and other details.

Question 1
How do you handle disagreements between yourself and fellow team members/management?
5 interview stages in total. Got to around the 3rd stage before I was told the position got cancelled, but overall the process was interesting and not insanely tedious. First an OA, recruiter screen, take home assessment, code review, then I don't exactly remember what is the rest.
