Interview
Phone interview, then in-person.
Thank god I I read the review before accepting a crappy offer.
Not even sure if there is a guideline for recruiting people. Got asked unnecessary behavioral questions, then they will judge you based on the answer.
I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Clipper Vacations (Seattle, WA) in June 2012
Interview
Fairly quick interview, about 20-30 mins. The lady was very kind and friendly, she had a packet with general questions like how reliable would you say you are, are you always on time for work, etc...and at the end she told me right off the bat that i was hired. i didnt have to wait! it was great!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
can you operate a pallet jack and will you be able to arrange the luggage bins? (the boats have a upper deck area where big luggage bins must be properly set, they are hauled on by a crane and an onboard attendant must use a pallet jack to move big heavy metal luggage bins on the small deck, it's kind of intimidating at first when you see how it works)

Be sure to Google the most common interview questions asked... This is what they use. Not very creative. Its quick so make a good impression.
