"If you read this, just avoid this company and don't waste your time"
I met them in career fair, and then they set a phone interview. It turned out my research totally matches with what they do. The Chinese guy who interviewed me (on the phone) asked some questions about my experience with python and specifically my PhD research. The interview went really well, then I was told they are interested to have me as an intern first becasue they can use my PhD work for some of their works. Then, the interviewer asked me when I can start working. He even told me he's going to talk with HR re the offer and official process for the internship. After one week that I haven't heard from them, I emailed the interviewer to get an update. He didn't answer my email. Next week I again emailed him to remind him that he didn't email me back. He didn't answer the second email either. For the third time (20 days after the interview) I emailed him and CC'd another person in the company ( that I met in career fair). They still didn't respond to my email. Today I called them to let them know I have another offer and need to make my decision where I want to work. (I only called them becasue I was really interested in type of work they do, and it's so similar to what I have done in my PhD). They told me they sent letters to some applicants that they have interviewed (including me) and all positions were filled. And it should have been a mistake or sth that I didn't receive any emails. BUT, I DON'T BELIEVE THEM, because I already emailed them three times after the phone interview and I haven't received a single response. Then I was told that all of their computer vision/machine learning internship positions are non paid for the first three months, and they can consider me for spring/summer positions. I was really pissed off becasue they are way too unprofessional. They neither responded my emails, nor mentioned anything about non paid internships, nor understand the level of people that they have interviewed.
