I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Cloudera in Apr 2024
Interview
The interview process was smooth, I always knew my current status of the application. I went through all the steps, and reached the end of the selection process, but in the end I didn't get an offer. Regardless, the hiring process was a great experience. The interviewers and the recruiter was very communicative and always answered all my questions.
*READ* The interview process went smoothly. There were 3 video rounds. After negotiating, everything was set, & I received a verbal offer from the hiring manager and also the recruiter. The recruiter and I spoke on the phone & he let me know that he would send the written offer the next business day. A few days passed by, & he followed up letting me know they're finalizing everything. Cool. Then a few more days went by & I decided to follow up to see what's the hold up. The recruiter said some things have changed & asked me what is the best time to hop on a call. I gave him my availability, then nothing. No call, no text, no email, nothing. It's already been almost 3 weeks & I never received a follow up call or a reason why the written offer was never delivered. I'm not a beggar, so I let it be. Rejection is redirection. However, this has never happened to me before & it's very unprofessional. It's a horrible feeling to get your hopes up just for someone to go back on their words with no explanation. I'm just letting you all know my experience. Good luck, but it goes to show, people really do not care about you. Everyone is just trying to make the sale or fill the role. You are just another number in this corporate world.
