Interview
There were three stages to the interview process. First, a virtual information session on Zoom where they talked about the company and the role and let us ask any questions. Second, an individual virtual interview. Third, an in-person interview at the Richmond office. This last interview included a two-hour writing test in which I was given a prompt for a hypothetical piece of web content and some information to write a 600-word article. I was told to fact-check and edit, and I could use the internet to look things up.
There were a few different stages of interviews. I found that the communication after the final interview was poor, especially given that it was required to go in person which require travel for me and they did not follow up or respond to my emails for weeks. A Writing test is also required.
First two interviews were screening, the final interview was in person with a written test. Overall, an easy process but to have applicants travel in person it felt disorganized. I received a denial, weeks later in an automated email.

How would you adapt to being in a start-up like environment?
The interview process is pretty basic. HR call, screen with manager, interview with two managers, writing assessment that takes about an hour. Fair process. Took place over about two weeks.
