      Software Engineer Interview

      17 Aug 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Codeway in Aug 2024

      Interview

I participated in 3 rounds of the interview process involving a cv screening, a case study, and hr call. After spending 50 hours completing the case study and passing the case study round, I was rejected after the HR call. I would at least expect receiving the boilerplate rejection mail from a human at this point. Instead, it was an automated rejection mail from Lever. I find it disrespectful towards talented, competent and driven candidates who took their time to deliver a quality project and prepare for an interview, just to be rejected by an automated mail and not by the actual human they’ve personally met. I definitely understand the tedious selection process for such a high demand company, however, the candidate experience can be improved significantly with minimal effort on HR’s part. Just a suggestion.
