I recently interacted with Cogent Infotech regarding what was described as an “urgent” contract opportunity. Unfortunately, the recruiting process was extremely disorganized and involved multiple missed commitments and inconsistent communication.
A call that was scheduled was missed, and when we later connected, I was told I would receive a meeting invite with the hiring manager and additional paperwork by a specific time. The paperwork eventually arrived after a delay, but the meeting invitation never did, despite being promised multiple times.
Throughout the process, I made an effort to remain responsive, flexible with scheduling, and professional. However, the repeated lack of follow-through made the experience feel frustrating and time-consuming.
Recruiting processes set the tone for how a company operates, and consistency and communication are especially important when candidates are asked to move quickly for “urgent” roles.
I would encourage the company to improve internal coordination and ensure recruiters follow through on timelines communicated to candidates.
