      Trainer/Course Developer Interview

      24 Jan 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Milpitas, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Cohu (Milpitas, CA) in Jan 2019

      Interview

Phone interview that was pleasant. Asked to interview for next round. Was told the day but nothing else. I waited until the night before the interview and asked my contact for the time and if it was still going to happen the next day. Email response gave me the time... .that was all. The next day I waited by my phone at the given time.. no phone call. After 20 minutes I called my contact. It seems it was supposed to be an in-person - but no one had given me the address and names of who I was meeting. Company rescheduled me for the next day. That is when I found out it was a 3.5 hour meeting. I was not given the names of anyone I was meeting - except for the first person. I expected to spend 30 minutes with each person with a 10 minute presentation at the end. I did not stay for the entire interview, I left after 2.5 hours. I was being asked inappropriate questions that had no bearing on the job. The person doing the interview leaned back in his chair, spread his legs wide and crossed his arms. I got a good view of his crotch during the entire interview. I could not for the life of me figure out the purpose of the interview, except to invite lawsuits, so I walked out.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

How may children do you have? What are their ages? What are their occupations? What does your husband do? At this point the interviewer said he was now going to get personal. I left before I found out what 'personal' meant.
