I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Coldwell Banker Apex Realtors (Plano, TX) in July 2014
Interview
When I interviewed with Coldwell Banker Apex, there was a number of transitions occurring within the company. The former OA was acting dually as the Plano OA and the President's Assistant, the Plano Office Manager, Glynn had only been in the manager position for 2 months, and the President was on a personal vacation.
For the first interview with the Branch Manager, Glynn, we met offsite (it had not yet been announced that the former OA was leaving). The interview process went very smoothly. We discussed mobility of the role, daily functions, ideas involving agent recruitment, and the future of the office. The Branch Manager explained that he was looking for an individual that could assist him in stabilizing the office and growing the office over time.
I received a call that afternoon, with positive feedback. I was scheduled to interview with another manager, Deborah. She and I met the following day. Deborah's questions were more directed at the mechanics of the role. We discussed my organizational abilities, teaching abilities, and more.
Glynn, the Plano Office Branch Manager, contacted me the next day and extended a formal offer for the position. I began training with an OA in McKinney at the end of the week. We training for a week and then I began in Plano. The McKinney OA was readily available for questions and more as I assumed the role.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Coldwell Banker Apex Realtors (Plano, TX) in Sept 2008
Interview
The hiring and interview process was quite methodical. It started with a phone interview from the office manager. The interview was then followed up by another phone interview with the owner of CB, Apex. I was then asked to come in for further discussions. I thought the Office Manager and Owner/Broker were very knowledgeable about the industry, nationally and locally. The various tools that they discussed with me and how they have been incorporated to help bring agents more business was quite interesting to me. Many of the agents within my office are very happy to be at CB, Apex. There is a perception by the agents that the Owner/Broker does look out for their best interest. As well, the Owner/Broker has a solid working knowledge of what it takes to be successful as she has grown up in the industry and knows what really works.
