A member of the talent acquisition team reached out a week after I applied to schedule a phone call. I received confirmation and reminders of the timeslot after scheduling. The day of the call, the person never contacted me. 5 minutes into our 20 minute slot, I sent an email to her, but got no reply. Later that day, she sent a short email saying she was held up in a meeting and asked for my availability for the rest of the week. I replied with multiple options, but a week has passed and I have received no reply. At this point I’m not interested in the role as this interaction is likely telling of larger cultural issues within the organization. Very disappointing as I was excited to learn more about the role, but the hiring team needs to be more respectful of candidates’ time.
