Pretty easy and straight forward interview process! Transparent the whole way through. Initial call with recruiter, then hiring manager, and finally an in person teaching lesson. The students were fun and engaged!

How do you think you fit into the Collegiate culture?
Interviewing the school staff was an absolute joy. They reinforced the mission and made me feel incredibly welcome. Despite this, my experiences in dealing with HR left a bad taste in my mouth. Because I interviewed from out of state, this network offered to pay for my plane ticket and accommodations to attend the interview. Out of respect for budget, I volunteered to drive in and stay with a friend and was promised gas reimbursement. However, when I emailed HR to inquire about my reimbursement check, they responded, "They couldn't believe I would ask them about that." It would be tough for me to want to work for an organization that went back on their word in this way and felt it was appropriate to shame someone for needing the financial help that was promised them. I would especially expect better of an equity-based organization.
