Interview
Initial 30 minute interview then straight to a 4+ hour presentation and panel interview, which felt like an abrupt transition. Panel portion was less than 20 minutes and culture interviews took over 3 hours. Everyone was very kind, but telling the same background story several times over several hours didn't feel terribly productive. Taking a day off of work and then hearing back a week later with vague feedback was disappointing. I'd recommend an intermediate interview between the 20 minute initial chat and 4+ hour panel to orient candidates better with the team, product, and case study.
It was pretty challenging - went through a past project experience right from how I worked with design and engineering and talked through how project success was measured. I was also asked about certain design trade-offs and the best user experience.
