I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Commerce Bank (Saint Louis, MO) in Nov 2019
Interview
Wasted my time! Received a call to reinterview for the Personal Banker position I had turned down 4 months earlier. This time around, it was in the location I had preferred. Total waste of time as I was not offered the position, even though the same person interviewed me the second time around. Nothing had changed with me and they would not give an explanation as to why I wasn't offered the position this time around. LOTS OF TURNOVER obviously. Just take a look at the open positions in this area.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
The usual "tell me about a time when you helped a customer and it lead to a sale", etc. This was my second interview with the same person asking the same questions.

Interview
The interview process was quick and easy. Everyone I spoke with was so nice! I think commerce did a really good job with giving updates on the interview process, which I really appreciated.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How does your work experience fit in as a personal banker?
The interview process was professional, upfront and easy to keep up with. Everyone was respectful and kind. They were clear in what they were looking for. They gave you time to answer questions.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Commerce Bank (Hays, KS) in Nov 2024
Interview
The interview process overall was very formal... three part interview process. First interview was a phone based interview with HR. The second interview was in person. I did not get selected for a final interview. They asked alot of behavior based interview question such as "Tell me about a time where you had a conflict with a supervisor or coworker and how did you handle it?" They also asked about my experience in sales due to the nature of what the position is. I was even asked about my learning style and how I deal with stress. Overall, I liked the interview process but was disappointed I was not selected for the position despite feeling like I was a good fit for it.
