When I arrived for my interview the interviewer was not ready and I had to wait about 20 minutes until we started. The person who interviewed me was not a tech saavy person and had a list of questions written down to ask me. For a technical position, most interviews I've had I get an interview with someone on their tech team who knows what they need. When it started he asked some about me, what I like to do, why I was interested in the position, etc... Then the interview went in to a small question portion. All the questions were completely irrelevant to the job they had posted. I had prepared for the position they had posted and the questions really didn't have anything to do with PHP Web Development. It was more about Networking and IT. I didn't apply for a Networking or IT position and I think they used the term Web Developer to try and rope in developers in to an IT position. Anyways, after I left I felt the interview didn't go very well and they said they would give me a call if they were interested.
Fast-forward 5 months, (Note: I was hired by a different company about a week after my Commercial Tire interview) I'm scrolling through my old e-mail account seeing if I had missed anything important. I found an e-mail from the person who interviewed me which was sent to me about a month after the interview. The e-mail said they wanted to talk to me about the job and when would be a good time to call me about the job.
First off, I gave them an updated e-mail address on my resume that I gave them during the interview. They must have completely ignored that and used my old e-mail address. Second, why are they E-MAILING me about this? Completely unprofessional, if you are interested in someone you call them and leave a voicemail if they don't pick up. Not an informal e-mail.
Anyways, the whole interview process was completely unprofessional on their end.
