I interviewed at Community College of Baltimore County (Catonsville, MD)
Interview
The first interview is a zoom meeting with between 2-4 interview committee members, meaning they work at the college but aren’t necessarily in the department you’re interviewing for. If you score high enough, you will be invited to a second interview with 1-3 people from your potential department. Now, it’s a choice of a few finalists and you have a good shot at getting an offer.

The phone is ringing, there is a student asking for assistance finding their class and a teacher needs help with the printer. How would you handle this scenario and in which order do you help them?

Interview
1 hour of questions with the search committee (10 questions), 1 hour teaching demo and research talk, and 1 hour with the dean and department chair. I did not get the job, but was shocked by their unprofessionalism. For example, the administrative assistant, who was on the committee, forgot to BCC all the candidates they were inviting to campus. In another example, an assistant accidentally called me but meant to call another candidate instead.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Community College of Baltimore County in Mar 2025
Interview
A wonderful process! I applied online and heard back from the Enrollment Svcs team the very next morning to schedule an interview. I completed two rounds of interviews in quick succession, with only a day between each. Everyone I spoke with—from the team to the HR representative—was incredibly kind and welcoming. The interview questions were concise and left room for thoughtful responses. Interviewing at CCBC has been a great experience!
