After I was approached on LinkedIn by Jaymes Chapman, Talent Director, and had a brief 30 min interview, I was given an "environment" test task, which actually happen to be a 3D prop for some reason.
After I've done it, I again had a call with said man and was told that they're having some difficulties securing the budget for this project and that I need to wait 'till they can actually hire me (B2B).
Then for the next two months we had couple of calls for him to share the news that "indeed we not yet have a spot". After that he stopped responding.
I honestly don't know why they'd go such long way of ghosting me, talking with me for couple of month when I already did a test for them and *then* ghost me, just very strange.
They still have an opening for the role.
