I applied online. I interviewed at Confidence (Detroit, MI) in Nov 2025
Interview
First round screening with a team member. It was a virtual interview that combined behavioral questions with standard questions, such as: Tell me about yourself, why are you leaving your current role, and why do you want this job?
I applied online. I interviewed at Confidence in Jan 2025
Interview
I had the initial interview, which is very similar to first phone call interviews.
Then I had an interview with one team member. Basic questions but the issue was that I was moved on to the next stage but they didn’t email me when they said they would, I had to email them.
The third interview was with two other team members and I had to create a presentation on a software and sell it to them. They cut me off in the middle and went to basic interview questions.
Then I was asked to do a follow up to this interview with more open ended interview questions.
Again I had to reach out but they then informed me (two days after they said they would make the decision) that I didn’t get the job and they went with another candidate. But then I looked on LinkedIn and they put the job that was originally closed back up.
It almost felt like a fake interview just to get poor saps to create presentations for them.
Got a simple take a home test which I completed in around an hour. The feedback (negative) whas the following: 1) Did not use typescript "enough" --> even though the ts-code-coverage was above 90% 2) Should've splitted the code in multiple files instead of having all in /pages/index.tsx --> whole file was 147 lines so no need to split it I only did the first step of the interview process and I am giving feedback on what I saw. Worst interview process so far for me.

Question 1
The take a home test consisted in displaying data from an API and show it as an infinite list. Each block should display 3 elements of the res and when the user scrolls the page, the next block of data is loaded and displayed.
