      Physician Recruiter Interview

      28 Mar 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Irving, TX
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Consilium Staffing (Irving, TX) in Mar 2023

      Interview

I had an in-person interview with Consillium which lasted about an hour. The recruiter did majority of the interview which I felt went really well! She made things very comfortable. At the end, she had an executive (or someone above her) come in to ask me a few questions which was okay, she gave off more intimating vibes, which made things a little uncomfortable. The interview ended with them telling me to go home and take an assessment. They wanted to schedule a second panel interview with me while I was there but I was unsure of my work schedule so let them know I would get back to them on scheduling this. I went home, did the assessment and heard back about a day later. They let me know they were not moving forward with me. I was a bit taken back as I felt the interview went well. I emailed back essentially asking why as I felt a little blind sided and they just never responded. It would be nice to receive some sort of feedback, especially when specifically asked. I still don't understand what went wrong, which is disheartening. All I can think is that it had to do with the test. Which I do feel is a bit unfair, as I have never "tested" well due to test anxiety. I do not feel as though a test should determine if someone is fit for the job, especially if the in-person interview went well. I'm just confused and disappointed.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Consilium Staffing (Irving, TX) in June 2023

      Interview

You start off with a phone call with the recruiter and it is very casual. Then you have an in-person meeting/interview with the recruiter where they decide if you'll qualify. Finally in person with the head of the four departments.

The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Consilium Staffing

      Interview

Unprofessional firm. They don't communicate if you don't get the job, they merely ghost you. Also, Christianity is one of their core values, so they don't value diversity. If you're not Christian, you're not welcome at Consilium.

Same as any firm. Nothing new to see here.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us - I am sorry that it wasn't more positive. As I have said before here on Glassdoor, we are never going to hire everyone we interview, but we do strive to provide every candidate with a great interviewing experience. For whatever reason, you didn't get that, and for that I am sorry. I do also want to address your statement related to our core values, and will start by saying that It is not a requirement to be of any faith background to work with Consilium. We never have never, and never will, discriminate based on religion or anything else. We don't ask about faith background or preferences in any way or at any time, whether that be through the interview/hiring process or anytime thereafter. We do consider ourselves to be a faith-based organization meaning, in part, that we draw our core values from Biblical principals. My own belief is that whether you believe in the Bible or not, there are principals which come from that book which are just plain good. An example would be treating others as you wish to be treated, conducting yourself with honesty and integrity, working with a servant spirit, putting the needs of others before your own, and so on. If these "Christian" values are not values you wish to work by, then Consilium is certainly not the place for you. I am sorry if this message was not communicated more clearly to you. I am disappointed that your experience in interviewing here slanted your perception of Consilium in such a negative way, but again I appreciate your feedback. I have already met with our Corporate Recruiting team to ensure that we use your feedback as an opportunity to improve and to ensure that others don't walk away with similar complaints. If you would like to speak with me directly to offer more insight into specifics of your situation, I would be happy to listen - just send me an email at the address below. Best of luck to you.
