      Data Scientist Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Contentsquare (Paris) in Mar 2022

      Interview

I applied online, got contacted by one someone in their talent acquisition team. The process is as follows, 3 main steps: - Overview interview with a manager - Homework to do (in this case a Data Science kaggle like exercise, with free emphasis, you can either perfect the model, the data analysis or the productionizing, each part needs to be addressed) - Technical interview with Data Scientist about the homework + questions During the whole process you get feedbacks from the talent acquisition team, which is super nice. Be careful of the entry level they offer you, as it is really hard to get promoted when inside.

Thank you for writing a review. We're glad you appreciated the regular feedback from your recruiter. Regarding promotions, there is a company-wide visible career framework that explains the main differences/expectations between all the levels. If one feels they should be promoted they're welcome to have the conversation with their manager/HRBP and use the career framework to support them.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Contentsquare (Paris) in June 2023

      Interview

The process consisted of an initial interview with a Talent Acquisition Partner, to talk about my profile and career plan (30 min). After that, I had an interview with a Data Science manager to discuss the duties of the position, bilateral expectations of the internship, my experience in the topics related to my potential tasks and explain in-depth a significant data science project I worked on in the past to evaluate some technical knowledge (1 hour). Finally, I was required to solve a remote exercise consisting of an end-to-end data science project to showcase skills linked to the internship project qualifications. Based on your performance, a follow-up discussion on the choices taken in your solution may be required additionally. It is worth pointing out that after every step of the process, you will receive direct video-call feedback from your Talent Acquisition Partner, whether the result is favorable or not. I have nothing but positive comments of the recruitment process at ContentSquare, I have been through several interview processes in previous years with top-tech companies and I have never had such a personalized and humanized experience in recruitment. I highly recommend you apply to ContentSquare if there is any position of your interest.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Questions related to previous data science projects (depends on the candidate). The remote exercise consists of an end-to-end data science challenge related to the project the intern may be assigned to. Scripts/notebooks + documentation files are expected to be provided with a full project breakthrough consisting of data exploration, data pre-processing, feature engineering, business-case analysis and predictive model iteration (if possible).

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Contentsquare (Paris) in Apr 2022

      Interview

I had applied for a senior data science role. The process had to be a call with HR, a call with the Head of Data Science, an assessment, and finally a fit interview. Actually: 15 min phone call with a TAS Then a 1 hour interview with the Head of Data Science. Then they were not sure about my seniority so a 1 hour .interview with an engineering manager. After this I was told we could move further, but the engineering manager apparently noticed I was not very enthusiastic (wtf, in which company everyone constantly smiles?) Then a home assessment. I sent back my work and a week later I was told the DS team was happy and impressed about my work but in the meantime (in a week) they already had hired 2 senior DS.... They told me they would see if any role could match my profile. Finally they might had a role but still wanted to be sure about my seniority so proposed me an intervew with a a DS research scientist and a software engineer. To tell me in the end that I did not fit their requirements. This process was pifful.
