First, a multiple choice exam to get on a list, and then emailed for an interview with the hiring library manager, with many questions, particularly about experience dealing with various customer service challenges, plus an Excel and Word proficiency test.

I was a volunteer there for about 2 years. It was one of my classes I took at Diablo Valley Collage in Pleasant Hill, CA. .The person that interview me knew I could do the job.
