I applied through LinkedIn, and got an email from the recruiter to schedule for an introductory call. The recruiter was nice and gave me good intro about the company, their values, and the next steps in the interview. In the first round they gave a take home assignment. It was easy, just a basic app to display some data fetched from an api. I did good, they were impressed and the very next day they asked me to give my availability for an in person 5-round interview at Convoy. 2 technical, 1 behavioral, 1 system design, and 1 algorithm round. After setting up interview, the pandemic hit us, and they cancelled in person interview and scheduled a zoom call. All interviewers were nice and I didn’t find anyone rude. Questions were not that difficult. After the interview, the recruiter said she would get back to me in a couple days, once she receives feedback from their team. I didn’t hear back from her even after 2 weeks. So I sent a gentle reminder email, asking about the feedback. She responded back apologizing for the late response, and told me that another recruiter would get back to me to discuss the feedback. And again, no reply for another 3 weeks. I thought may be they were having a bad time in this covid pandemic and kept this position on hold. I sent another gentle reminder asking for the feedback, and this time she didn’t even bother to reply me.
It seemed like I didn’t get through the interview, but at least I deserve to know the feedback. Because I put my time and effort and took a day off to do the tedious 5 hour interview. The least thing they can do is to say yes or no.
