We support techs in the field by text, and notify of jobs by text message, so we purposefully do this to ensure that we are bringing on responsive technicians.
We message staring at 7am (not 6am, although it is possible for the team to have made an error of your in an adjacent time zone). We do this for a similar reason, that we put out a lot of jobs at 7am and we want to message around the same time, because we find that we get techs who are responsive at that time.
Because of the nature of our work, fixing Enterprise systems as a team, we are also ensuring that candidates communicate professionally when changes occur.
We are simulating situations that will occur when your on calls for our clients.
Our objective is to filter, not pitch for this job. We work with techs that we think will benefit from our support on jobs (usually by text) for advancement.
I'm sorry that you found this experience challenging and didn't like it, but at this time text messaging is the best way for us to communicate.
We have been doing it this way for over 24 years, but we will ammend it when there is a better way to support our techs and filter out people who don't work well with our system.
