      Relationship Manager Interview

      6 June 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Omaha, NE
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Core Bank (Omaha, NE) in June 2023

      Interview

Technically wasn’t an interview but tried to apply for a Relationship Manager position and the online application was frustrating to say the least. First off it makes you enter in all your experience individually even after uploading a resume. Can’t believe there are still application portals that make you do this. It offered to “auto-populate” info from my resume into the fields but it did not pick up from my resume correctly and I had to pretty much re-enter everything in the fields. Next page asks for references. I have no problem providing references post-interview in expectation of an offer but there is no way I am entering their private information into an online portal where data security is questionable so I exiting the page without completing the application. It’s 2023, companies need to do better. I would never consider working for this bank if they can’t even streamline their online application process.

      Relationship Manager Interview

      10 Dec 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Core Bank in Aug 2023

      Interview

Despite my experience, which lined up really well with the position I applied for, I never even got an email. Wasted my time updating my resume and applying. As a former recruiter, this is ridiculous. It takes little to no effort to send someone an email saying you’ve decided to move forward with another candidate. Extremely unprofessional.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Coach your team/employee that is in charge of recruiting for the position I applied for. Explain to them what a pipeline is because they clearly don’t understand. When a candidate with great experience applies, you at a bare minimum should contact them in case another position opens up. Very unprofessional and can’t believe someone is that bad at their job.

Thank you for your feedback. Our People Resources team strives to reach out in a timely manner to those candidates with experience and work history that align best with each open role. In those cases where there may be a potential fit, we do reach out to begin the interview process. Once that process begins, our goal is to notify anyone who does not advance in the process further or is not hired on after completing the interview process. That communication happens either through email or through a phone call. If you began the interview process but did not receive communication from us that you would not be moving forward, we are truly sorry for that error. We do review our recruiting and interviewing practices continually, with our applicant experience top of mind, and will keep your feedback in mind. Thank you!
