      Senior Software Engineer Interview

      23 Jan 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at CoreWeave (San Francisco, CA) in Dec 2025

      Interview

I had an initial talk with the recruiter, the earliest they could talk was in 3 weeks. I talked with them and got scheduled for a technical interview (2 weeks later). The day of the interview the meeting invite goes away, I send them an email, they respond to me with an auto reject after 3 days of waiting.... The same recruiter 2 months later reaches out to me about the same position. I take his call, I explain to him what happened last time and ask to just go through to the next round. He gets very aggressive at me and tell me to explain the role in detail and everything we've discussed. I pull out my notes and list of all the things we talked about in the last meeting. He gets kind of mad and asks a few questions and the interview ends. The recuiter def had an ego problem

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at CoreWeave (Bellevue, WA) in Apr 2026

      Interview

Applied online and recruiter scheduled a phone call the next day, very efficient. Recruiter asked about the motivation for joining Coreweave and the biggest mistake I've made in my current role, comp expectations etc, also went through the interview process. Next is a phone screening with multi-threading & concurrency coding question conducted by a senior SDE in the team, the interviewer was nice and gave me a pass, hear back from the recruiter in 3 days and scheduled the onsites. Haven't completed the onsites yet, will update back once done.

      Interview

The interviewer asked me to design a Kubernetes-based platform that would allow users to upload their application runtimes and automatically scale to meet the load. Overall the interviewer was pretty rude from the start, and acted impatient to end the interview. There wasn't really much in the way of discussion, and every so often the interviewer would ask "why would you do it that way?" followed by no response or follow-up discussion. I decided not to move forward with the interview process after this.
