The initial interview was amazing! The recruiter was informative and easy to talk to. It was more like a conversation than an interview. He answered all of my questions with great responses and made me excited for the future interviews.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Cornerstone Caregiving (Waco, TX) in May 2026
Interview
I had two zoom calls with a Junior Recruiter and was quickly aligned to the final interview stage. The interview took place in Waco TX, at the corporate headquarters. Cornerstone paid for the flights from Northern Michigan to Dallas and a rental car, and when I arrived they had lunch waiting for me. The total turn around time was really tight. My Fight left for TX at 6am and the returning flight was for 6pm. The commute from DFW to Waco is 1Hr 45 Min one way. Me being a glass full sort of person, was blinded by the opportunity and didn't think about the logistics. The travel was really stressful. In the interview, I presented a 30/60/90+ business plan and a local market analysis. These were promptly rejected and set aside. The comment was that they already had my resume, they just wanted to know a bit more about me. No interview like questions were posed, other than "give us an idea of who you are?" There were some comments made about my trajectory towards management, which have been consistent over the past several years. They asked if I would fold my side business for them and then time just got too tight and we wrapped up. Overall the mood in the room was severely off-putting, the attitude was less than cordial and I felt as if I had missed something. I certainly did not feel like a finalist in the process. When I returned home the next day, I received a message by email that I was no longer being considered. I was flabbergasted. I did write a message to the recruiter from Cornerstone Caregiving, asking for an explanation. And to the Founder, asking for the same. Neither were answered. So here is my review. I can't believe that this company claims to be Faith Based, much less a Care Giving entity. From how they treated me, I felt ethically obliged to write this review. Please do not expose yourself to this company.

Interview
Very quick, the same week I applied (Monday), I had a request for an interview on Tuesday, initial on Wednesday and they scheduled me for an interview with the director on Friday and a peer OD that evening. Afterwards they wanted to fly me out the next week to do the final interview in person.
