I feel like there was potential for this to be a good opportunity however there were red flags that I tried to ignore in the interviewing process. I made it to the last round only to be sent a email that stated “ the team does not want to move forward”. That’s a huge sign of disrespect given the fact I spent hours preparing an assignment and scheduled multiple interviews with their team. Please give me the respect of offering a real reason after investing nearly a month in interviewing process, oh and the interviewer missed the first two interviews. ( red flag number 1 ) In my final interview which was an assignment one of the panel team members ask could I do a follow-up task of something he pulled out of thin air. Assignments should be emailed so that I can follow clear directions. Not ask me to complete a further assignment you had difficulty describing yourself. Then once I sent the assignment I sent two emails asking for confirm it was received. Of course no answer back. The first issue with their interviewing process was the company never fully explained what Corra does. I could understand if I applied to the company I should know better, but their recruiter reached out to me. They only explained what they were looking for. I’ve been in many interviews and never have I had a company never go into detail about the company and the services they offer. This left me to piece together my own understanding of what Corra does. The second issue was all interviews were over the phone until the final presentation. In 2023 who still conducts phone interviews. Last but not least the lack of diversity. It’s quite alarming that all their staff is either white or Indian due to technical staff living in India. As a person of Color that was alarming to me and made me feel uncomfortable. Though I did not get the role I believe it was most likely not a good fit. They seem to be unclear of what they want and trying to figure it out.
