I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Cosanti Foundation (Glasgow, Scotland) in Jan 2018
Interview
The interview was relaxed and meaningful. lots of discussion on urban design, urban sprawling and the relationship between human, nature and built environment had been discussed. The interviewer made the interview process more like a discussion session with each of us contribute our thought on the current situation and what lies ahead.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Cosanti Foundation (Mayer, AZ) in June 2013
Interview
In order to get into the internship a 5 - week workshop ( in either construction or archives department) is mandatory. The cost for the workshop is about $1,550 ( $50 application fee inc.) or you can do a scholarship for I believe 8 weeks. Basically, a volunteer in the cafe assisting in the kitchen operations, serving breakfast at 5:30 am and working in special events. After the workshop is completed you are allowed to apply for internship (you can be pre-approved prior internship application, especially for scholarship purposes). They require a letter of intent, 3 references and a portfolio (if you have an architecture, planning background).
