Niles—IL. Hiring manager was extremely rude and on a power trip. As soon as I opened my mouth to begin answering her question, she immediately went “uh huh”, “yup”, and “yeah” before I even let out my first word. She winked at me… and didn’t even want to hear what I had to say. She told me how they needed people to push carts, yet when I left to go home, there were two employees in the parking lot just talking for 5min+ while 5 cart bays were full. Talk about mismanagement. She said something about not hiring people off the street for cashiers, only cashier assistants. Despite their online job posting asking for cashiers. Was told it was seasonal, despite the posting saying otherwise. Creepiest part was some random tire shop employee started asking me personal questions rapid-fire. Where I live, age, education, etc. etc. because these are illegal interviewer questions. I felt harassed from the moment he started talking to me. No “hello, how are you?” Just seemingly an interrogation. Then some girl coworker came up and started feeling all over his arm and talking about how she needed to shower… sexual harassment/touching boundary violations galore. Glad I dodged a bullet at this location.
