I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cosworth (Cambridge, England) in Jan 2017
Interview
Had a 30-minutes phone interview with Mark Taylor (really friendly guy), and then I got a technical challenge in my mailbox. Took me an afternoon to complete, after which I was invited for a live interview with the team's senior management, followed by lunch with the rest of the team.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was asked about my previous roles and experience, how I solved some problems I faced before, and we talked about my solution to the technical challenge from the previous interview step, correcting some issues I had left unsolved and elaborating from there.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cosworth (Cambridge, England) in June 2021
Interview
General first stage video call interview with the head of SW - asked about background, experience, etc. Was then sent a task/project with a few days to complete. Had a second stage interview after they liked my submission where they asked about next steps and offer details. Good process overall and friendly/positive - recommended!

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Cosworth (Cambridge, England) in Jan 2018
Interview
A three stage interview:
A short chat with the engineering manager, Mark Taylor, during which there weren't many technical questions - it was mostly around my previous experiences and a walk through of my CV.
Second came a technical challenge. It was not super difficult and reflects the type of work done at Cosworth, and the solution could be given in any reasonable language (or pseudocode). It was all about the algorithm. It needed to be presented in a document form, but I chose to implement it in C# to confirm my solution. This took about 1 day to complete.
The final interview was Mark Taylor and another lead engineer. They went over my solution, asking questions about how I solved it / improvements that can be made. This was quick and thankfully the questions were around how I could improve and not where I'd made mistakes! Then came some technical questions, but again they weren't very difficult. Things like what's the difference between stack/heap memory allocation. The final interview lasted about 1-1.5 hours.
I was given an offer the same day and was able to negotiate my salary. Dealing with HR was quick and easy - they responded within minutes and we were able to sign the contract within a couple of days.
