Talked to a lead engineer for the initial call, he seemed to not be confident in any of the company's operations.
I got assigned a 2-hour take home interview in NextJS. I had never used NextJS so I let the recruiter know, who said to just give it a shot. I have solid patterns, so I gave it a shot and learned while I got a couple of endpoints and a frontend setup. I wrote a README explaining all my decisions, including my decision to choose between two router types that I came across while learning. I was sent a rejection letter the next day saying that they thought I should have used the other router instead. It was obvious the interviewer didn't give it more than a quick glance.
