I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Crank Software in Jan 2022
Interview
Pleasant and informal. Round 2 was a presentation of a homework assignment to a panel including engineers and managers. Feedback was constructive.
The post interview process was unprofessional. I was told an offer was in the works, but after prolonged radio silence they retracted with a lacklustre explanation.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Crank Software (Ottawa, ON)
Interview
A recruiter got in touch with me explaining how it would be great to work in Crank Software; great culture they are cycling a lot; do plant trees etc (could be mistaken about the trees). The interview was run by two people - the founders of Crank. They explained that there will be a take home exam after the interview. The skinny guy was asking about my previous experience. The chubby guy was picking on my suit and asking the skinny guy: where is yours? Apparently suits do not fit their culture.

Went through my CV asking questions on the previous projects.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Crank Software in Dec 2019
Interview
It was just a lot of questions about my experience, which they could already see in my resume. Clearly it was also a culture fit interview. Culture fit seems to be very important.
