I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Crooked Media (Los Angeles, CA) in Mar 2024
Interview
A recruiter finally reached out to me asking for my availability for an intro call. I scheduled a call with her the next day. Once the call began, she told me the call should take a half hour and it'll be 5-6 questions. She asked me 3-4 questions and was done, then asking me if I had any questions. I had two questions, she answered. She then explained their lengthly hiring process. The entire time she had a very uninterested tone, asking me the most basic questions. I didn't hear her take any notes regarding my lengthily answers. She made it very clear she had no actual interest in me and that I was ever going to make it past this intro call which I have no idea why when the job description was literally what I've done my entire 15 year career.
Submitted an online app, had a first round interview with an HR person who was not familiar with creative industries. Seemed to be a bit cold and calculating. Confusing process for such a politically engaged company.
I applied online. I interviewed at Crooked Media in Feb 2021
Interview
4 interviews. One initial, then interviews with SVP and dept. head, and talent. Interview process was smooth, and I was always kept up to date. The recruiter did an excellent job in prepping me for each interview and outlining the duties of the position.
