      Senior Software Engineer Interview

      11 Sept 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Crunchtime in Sept 2024

      Interview

I was contacted by a really nice recruiter from CrunchTime, and she explained the process—a pretty long one, with 7 interviews. The first interview with the hiring manager was more of a conversation and went well. I kept getting positive feedback, so I was feeling good about it. Then came the technical interview with two developers. They asked pretty basic questions like coding Fibonacci and checking for palindromes. The next day, though, they told me they found a better match and wouldn’t be moving forward, despite the good feedback I’d been getting. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend interviewing with them. It feels like they don’t really know how to evaluate senior candidates or might not be transparent about their feedback.

      Senior Software Engineer Interview

      20 Feb 2026

      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Crunchtime in Feb 2026

      Interview

I had a screen call with the recruiter, she was polite and explained me everything clearly. Then, I had my second screen call with the manager, and it was the most uncomfortable interview in my life, he seemed to be in a hurry, he asked something and he didn’t allowed me to finish interrupting me and saying “that’s not relevant” making me feel like a fool. In the end, I'm happy I was rejected, as I wouldn't have liked to belong to a company with that horrible culture.

      Senior Software Engineer Interview

      7 Oct 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Crunchtime

      Interview

I applied through their recruiter and completed the entire interview process — including recruiter screening, coding assessment, and five rounds of technical and behavioral interviews. Unfortunately, I was rejected without any clear feedback. The interview questions were quite vague and often had no single correct answer. I provided thoughtful responses, and the interviewers seemed satisfied, but the outcome didn’t reflect that. It felt like a complete waste of time. In my opinion, the company’s interview process lacks a proper framework to evaluate senior-level developers. They tend to ask overly simplistic or open-ended questions that don’t truly assess real-world problem-solving or architectural thinking. I’d recommend other candidates to consider investing their time elsewhere.
