Long but smooth interview process. First part was a form to fill to give background information about yourself. Then I had an hour-long interview to test my crypto knowledge, easy questions like "what's a node" and "what's the difference between Bitcoin and Ethereum" followed by a few practical questions like "show me how to make a transaction" or "how do you do a swap on a DEX". That part should be very easy if you have more than a year of experience in crypto. Next was the written test. I had an hour to write an article for Crypto Briefing in real time. The test was clearly aimed at verifying that you were a fast & efficient writer, capable of working under strict deadlines. I honestly don't think anyone can pass that test without having previous professional writing experience. I then had an interview with the Chief Editor. No tests but a long conversation about crypto, writing, Crypto Briefing's place in the crypto journalism niche, and the company culture. I felt like the main aim of that was to see if I'd be a good fit personality-wise. I submitted a couple of old writing samples after that interview, which the Chief Editor reviewed in less than a day before extending an employment offer. I then had a call with the CEO. It felt like a welcoming call and an opportunity to get to know each other, talk about the company, and discuss salary and benefits. He invited me to ask any questions I might have and was very candid about matters such as the company's business model, their treasury, etc. Made a good impression on me. My impression from all of this is that Crypto Briefing cares a lot about finding talented people that align themselves with the company culture. It seems important for them to have a transparent workplace & happy employees. I haven't started working for them yet but I'm looking forward to it.
