I interviewed at Current Newspapers (Washington, DC)
Interview
Two phone interviews, two in-person interviews. One writing test. The interview process was not difficult, but it was time-consuming. I deeply regretted investing my time in their application process once I discovered how little the newspaper pays its employees. They pay some of their reporters $20k per year. Be warned: this company relentlessly exploits rookie writers.

Question 1
The most difficult moment was when the company executive offered me a job (which I desperately needed) and then proposed to pay me less than $25k annually. My jaw dropped. I never would have interviewed for the position if I had known what the pay was like.
