I applied online. I interviewed at Cuseum in July 2025
Interview
Phase 1 – First Round Interview
The initial interview experience was overall positive. The interviewer was professional and engaging, which created a good first impression. However, each candidate was allocated only 15 minutes. While I appreciated the efficiency and the respect for people’s time, the short duration made the conversation feel rushed. It left little room to elaborate on my answers or to ask meaningful questions. An interview should be a two-way process, and in this case, it felt more like a quick screening.
Phase 2 – Second Round with the Founder
A few days later, I was invited to a second round with the co-founder. Unfortunately, this phase was marked by scheduling and communication challenges.
- The first attempt was booked at a different time than originally agreed.
- The second attempt was canceled when the co-founder didn’t show up.
- The third time, he attended but only had about 10 minutes available.
He went straight to the point, mentioned there was potential fit, and said he would send me some tasks to complete. That message never arrived, so I took the initiative and sent them the materials I believed he was looking for. However, I never received a reply.
Overall Impression
The product itself is excellent, and I was genuinely excited to learn more about the company. That said, based on my interview experience, I am uncertain about their internal culture. The lack of organization, time, and follow-through raised some concerns about how they operate as a team.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What are the metrics you track? How do you use AI?
I had an initial interview with HR, it went really well. The second one was with someone in operations, he clearly had not read my resume, was not human or intersested in learning about my experience, he just asked if I has SaaS experience, and after my negative response basically ended the interview. Was a very unpleasant experience, I felt I was clearly wasting my time.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cuseum (Bogota, Cundinamarca)
Interview
Easygoing, they seemed to be more interested in getting to know me and my attitude to see if I fit well with the company culture, it mostly felt like they wanted to test my mindset and see if I was proactive and up to overcoming new challenges.
