The recruiter seemed nice but could not answer all of my questions, I made it to the 2nd round, but the time difference was confusing on the invite - usually recruiters change the time to the applicant's time, not their time.
I was supposed to meet with 2 C suite managers, followed by 2 senior managers. I didn't receive the invite until 8:30 am on a Monday morning ( 10:30 am TX time ) and the 1st interview was scheduled at 1:45 pm with literally no time to prepare. The 2nd at 3:45. I didn't know if the scheduled time was TX time or East Coast Time or my time zone, so I assumed it was my time zone.
I was supposed to stay in Phoenix for the interview, but my current job had decided to switch me with a junior staff member so I could make senior meetings at our hub in LA on Monday. I changed all of my devices over on Sunday to leave Monday for LA, but then I got the same day email for the interviews on Monday morning, and decided to stay and take a later flight so I could introduce the junior member to the team I was working with in AZ.
The recruiter called me and asked if I missed my 1st interview - so I patched into Zoom right away - I guess I had missed my window, but the recruiter said to wait, and I could interview with the senior team and come back to the junior team.
The junior team abruptly informed me the recruiter had made a mistake and that no one passes onto senior managers unless they say so. I just repeated what the recruiter had asked me to do. They could have been friendly, but had a "mean girls" vibe from the moment I logged in.
The company was bought twice last year and are now owned by Blackrock - eventually they will be sold. I would say stay away - most of the roles seem to be headed to India where they are based.
It was chaotic from the start - they had hired others for training, but the recruiter contacted me after the training had started. When I asked if I would be able to have some training on at least the newer parts of the Cvent platform, he didn't know.
They also kept changing the terms of the role - a few sites said remote, some were hybrid, adjacent to hubs within their business, and some sites said 100% onsite including their own site.
I'm pretty sure the chaos doesn't stop there. If you thrive in ambiguity, this might be the place for you. I think I dodged a bullet...I do take responsibility for not taking more time to figure out the time difference, but the last-minute interview notification during a transition from one state to another and having to fit in a late same day interview was daunting.
