Honestly, this place is 7yrs old still calling themselves a startup, so that was a red flag right there.
They play up being women led, but are they? Their leader IS a woman, but the company is the opposite of diverse. DEI goes here to die.
I had a pretty chummy interview. It was good until it wasn't. They need to reformat their hiring process at the screener level. We get one chance to make a first impression and my chance was ruined by their bad business processes. The screener seemed likable enough, but asking me to name a salary b/c they didn't decide on one before interviewing, I name it and then leadership team says that's too high. She made it seem like they didn't have a number and lo' and behold the following week they found one. This place seems nice on the surface, but as an experienced leader, I know they are toxic. It's not me, it's them.
If it's a 30 person company, DURING a PANDEMIC, then why is it so hard to talk to their Chief Security Engineer or whatever his role is, Dom. I dislike fake busy people. Not being able to reach team members is bad for business and the org. This place is just exhausting. Which is sad, because they need me WAY more than I need them and their corporate bereaucracy and undermining of their own talent team ......is telling.
I would not recommend going to this place unless you enjoy being gaslit. I have added the leaders and company if people I have never even met to my do not fly list. My experience will go elsewhere, no, I do not want to come again when you are further along for a higher role. No thanks! Bless your hearts.
