I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Cynerio in Jan 2025
Interview
Meet with HR, then hiring manager, then SE manager then peer. Expected to meet with CEO as the final step they laid out in the process. This was never set up. They asked for customer references in the middle of the interviewing sequence. Never experienced this.
I applied through LinkedIn, and reached out to the hiring manager as well, whom I was already connected to. I only heard back from HR, who was nice, but only interested in interrogating me about why I left some of my jobs in a short period of time, which really hasn´t been that often. I had a good, brief answer, but it sounded like she wanted the dirt. She also referred to my experience several times as content manager and writer positions, when that is only a small fraction of what I do, and I had to gently correct her. I received a rejection letter from the HR system they use a short time later saying they require a slightly different skillset than I have. I don´t mind the rejection: it´s clearly not a good fit. But I do mind saying I don´t have the skillset when I never got to speak to the hiring manager who could assess this, and even from a quick glance at my CV and the job listing, you see I have all of the skills required - including relevant industry experience in this exact niche.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cynerio (Tel Aviv-Yafo) in Apr 2022
Interview
Cynerio HR team are amazing! They reached out pretty quickly after I've talked with referral employee who have worked with me in the past, they shared clearly the whole process and the timeline.
They made sure to complete the process within 2 weeks top, which started with zoom interview then followed by 2 onsite interviews and a nice coding challenge.
