I attended an interview process recently and unfortunately had a very poor experience overall.
The interview lacked basic professionalism and structure from the beginning. The interviewer did not introduce themselves properly, kept the video off throughout the discussion, and there was no meaningful conversation about the company, team structure, or role expectations.
What stood out most was that the discussion frequently drifted toward irrelevant topics instead of evaluating my actual frontend architecture and engineering experience. I was also asked to use draw.io during the interview despite it not being part of the communicated expectations or directly aligned with the role requirements.
Throughout the interaction, I felt interrupted multiple times and several of my responses were ignored before I could properly explain my approach or reasoning. The conversation felt more dismissive than collaborative.
I have attended many technical interviews during my career, including for senior and architect-level roles, but this was genuinely one of the least professional interview experiences I have encountered.
I strongly believe candidate experience reflects company culture, and I hope the interview process and interviewer conduct are improved for future candidates.
