Initial phone interview regarding my background/education followed by an on-site interview. It's a panel interview consisting of a few engineers. They ask you brain teasers and basic Engineering questions.

I had to work through engineering problems on a white board in front of employees. Very intimidating but also very fun and engaging. They really just care about your thought process and how you get through tough problems.

Interview
The initial process began with a virtual interview held using GoTo Meeting, with audio over the phone. Majorly focused on explaining the position, and then finished with a couple technical questions (behavioural and physics-based).

Explain a project you contributed to that demonstrates your technical ability.
Typically, the first step for a candidate is that they have a phone screen, which lasts about an hour. After the phone screen, then there is an in person interview, which is a technical interview.
