I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at DISH (Tulsa, OK) in Dec 2019
Interview
Completed a short phone interview and was invited for an in-person interview. They have a few small offices designated for hiring and two men came out to greet me. They asked about my ambitions, qualifications, and experience. I let them know I came from a sales background but was attending college and hoped to pursue my bachelors soon. The interview shifted there. They began telling me I wouldn’t work out and that it was obvious I wouldn’t be passionate about the company because “my heart was tied” to the degree I was pursuing. They went on to ask me to sell them something, a short exercise of skill for the job. Not sure how, since it was a retention position and not for sales. Afterwards, they made fun of my accent and gender and said that I sounded too questioning and untrustworthy. I explained I grew up on the east coast and still have an accent- I do sound different from most people in the area, they wrote it off as “something women do.” What???? They drug tested me and entered me into the system there. I was uninterested in the position at this point, but they said to expect a call once the test came back. I did, but I refused the offer. 60K annual with benefits.
straight forward. Review resume asked questions about background and how it relates to sales, why do you think you are a good fit. Those kinds of things. Interviewer was very nice and not raining down with irrelevant questions. Pretty much looking to see if you are a good fit and your experience applies
