I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at DYODE in Apr 2022
Interview
The interview process here is standard. You meet with their recruiter, then you'd meet with the founders. What I didn't enjoy about this process, is that they could not provide a salary range. When I asked what the budget was, I was told "whatever we think you're worth." That's not something you should say to a candidate you're interested in hiring. Once I was finally able to find out a number, it seemed as though they did not want to provide a mid-senior level designer with more than 80k. Friends, there are a ton of positions open right now, willing to offer over 100k for a mid-senior level role, so please do not sell yourself short!! Knowing my worth, along with having to follow up with the recruiter myself (major red flag) ultimately led to me excusing myself from the process. I hope the recruiter starts to do a better job for the sake of DYODE.
Thank you for your feedback as we are continually trying to improve our process. We are sorry your experience wasn't great. Currently at DYODE, we have several positions open within our UI/UX Team ranging from Junior to Mid to Senior UI/UX Designers and ultimately to Creative Director. Our goal is to find top talent and realize that comes with paying people what they are worth! As you can imagine, it's hard to truly gauge what a candidate should be compensated without thoroughly going through the interview process which is why we shy away from discussing salary at the initial stage of the interview process but rather focus on understanding the talent the candidate brings to the table. Our candidates goes through a process of interviewing not only with the recruiter but our Directors and then Founders. Once the position has been filled is when emails are sent to candidates on the status of their candidacy. We wish you the best of luck in all your endeavors as we're sure you'll do great!
