If you have any self respect and if you value your time, please don't apply for this job.
There were 3 steps: Phone call, Coding Challenge, and Technical Interview.
Step 1: It went well, the interviewer was really nice. At the end, she told me she wants to move me on to the next step which is an online assessment. She then gave me a warning that the online assessment is not actually mandatory and it doesn't effect the interview process. She also said some of the knowledge required to do the online assessment was not listed on the job requirements (The job requirements only mentioned One of Java, Python or C++). I asked her "like what?" and she said, "for example, on your resume you have python and java but no C++, so there might be some questions regarding that".
I wasn't worried about this cause, I knew C and its really similar to C++. This was during mid term season, so I took time out of my busy schedule to learn C++ and then I attempted the Online Assessment.
And I was shocked to see 50% of the test was on SQL. I was so confused cause the Job requirements did not mention this at all. And as you can guess, my score came back and it was a 50%. I didn't think much of this tho, since the interviewer did mention the test doesnt effect the final decision, and the only part of the test I didn't get was SQL, and that wasn't even mentioned on the requirements.
A couple weeks go by and I hear nothing back. So i email the interviewer and ask for an update. And she says to me "After reviewing your Online Assessment, We have decided not to move on with next step".
They literally wasted my time. If you're gonna judge me on my SQL skills then at least put it on the requirements so I know not to apply for a job that I'm not qualified for.
Horrible company, if you value your time and have any self respect, turn around.
