it was relatively easy and standard postdoctoral research fellow interview for an academic position, i was invited to give presentation to research group, had 1:1 meetings with PI, other postdocs and graduate students. it was a full day process, and had lunch with all group. during the day, I was asked about my projects and my grad school life, and questions about my personality

I first applied to the institute and had contacted the principle investigator. This was followed by phone conversation with myself as well as two of my references. I was then asked to visit the laboratory and give a scientific presentation (about an hour long) on my research area. I got the verbal confirmation of job offer on the same day, and written job offer in next couple of days.
