I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Data Sciences International (Pune) in June 2025
Interview
The interview process had two rounds. The first was a technical round where I was asked questions on data science concepts, programming, and problem-solving. It was quite challenging. The second round was with HR, which was more about my background, projects, and internships. Overall, the interview process was structured, but the technical round was much harder compared to the HR round.

Interview
7! interviews with various people from the organization. 6 were scheduled and went very well. I had a very good feeling for the company up to that point. I was told multiple times by different people I was just what they were looking for and they were looking to make a decision in the next few days. One night I received an unscheduled call while I was asleep from a very aggressive HR person. She said she had not been involved in the interview process but would be now, and went right into questions asking me to describe my strengths. Needless to say this was very jarring and I did not feel the interview was a positive one. There had been no talk of salary up until this point. She asked me what my salary expectations were. I asked her for the range and she "didn't know because she was traveling". I quoted a high but still very fair number. Then they went silent. When I emailed them a week later they said they were still interviewing! I emailed again a week later to either close it out or see if this was still salvageable after the not great final interview. I was then told I was outside of their budgeted range for the position and I was eliminated. They are still trying to hire this position 2 months later!
