Interview
Was contacted almost a month after I initially replied, recruiter directly scheduled a 1:1 zoom with the hiring manager (no phone screen).
Interviewer was late to the meeting, did not apologize, did not introduce themselves, and was fairly rude. They spent a lot of time asking about why I had left my previous company (which is totally valid), but kept prodding about it despite already providing thorough answers; in fact, they spent more time asking about my former company than they did talking about Databricks or my resume. It took a lot of prompting from me to ask them about their workflows and team culture, and they did a very poor job of selling the role.
Honestly it seemed like they wanted to leave the company and join my former one by the end of it.
Did not hear back at all afterwards, which is fine because I was already disinterested by the time we wrapped up our conversation.
Quite disrespectful coming from a Senior Leader, I was reached out through LinkedIn by a Director of Technical Solutions, provided all the information he requested and was ghosted right after.
