I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at David's Bridal
Interview
The HR rep calls to schedule a phone interview. The rep is very pleasant. Then a sewing test schedule. The seamstress gives a few dresses to repair. She gave me three dress zippers to replace. Two center back zipper (one satin, the other cotton). The other an visible zipper in chiffon. The seamstress was so busy that she gave me a customer's dress to hem and another dress to fix the sequence. The test took 8 hour with no break. Then the manage had the nerve to ask me why it took me so long to do the sewing test. I was doing work for your customers and not getting paid for it! The associates were nice but one does not get paid enough for work done.
I had interview with store manager, but the part that actually counted was the sew test with the alteration manager. Which was a simple test which was hemming a chiffon dress
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at David's Bridal (Charlotte, NC) in July 2022
Interview
The hiring manager just read off basic interview questions from a sheet, quite impersonal and unengaging. After I answered each of the questions, the hiring manager would tell me their answer, as if my answer was wrong? There was also a mandatory sewing test, but this was unnecessary as they didn't bother to contact me at all after.
