      Software Developer Interview

      Anonymous interview candidate
      Birmingham, AL
      No offer
      Positive experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Daxko (Birmingham, AL) in Apr 2016

      Interview

Their interview process is different, but fun. After submitting your application, if you move on in the process, they have you record a video where you answer questions pertaining to yourself, your experience and the position you're applying for. You record your answers one at a time, and are given time beforehand to prepare your answers.

      Software Engineer Interview

      26 July 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Daxko in July 2022

      Interview

Had to do a take home project and presentation. Stayed up all night building the project and preparing the presentation which went great. After the first 45 minutes of you talking about your code be ready for “gotcha questions” for the next 45. Questions weren’t that hard but unfortunately I missed a couple.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Daxko (Birmingham, AL) in July 2019

      Interview

It took a few applications, in addition to attending an open house event, for my resume to get noticed. When that happened, the first phase consisted of a pair of phone interviews with the recruiter and the hiring manager. The main interview (in-person) included a coding presentation (the task is given ahead of time, you work on it for however many days until your interview date) followed by a traditional back-and-forth, conversational interview. I was left with the impression that the team really wants to make the effort to make a thorough evaluation of both hard and soft skills.
